Michael L. Ruff - COO
Michael Ruff is Chief Operating Officer of Intellidyne LLC, an energy
Controls Company based in Glen Cove, New York, that designs, manufactures
and markets a dynamic line of energy economizers for heating, cooling
and refrigeration systems.
Under Mr. Ruff’s leadership Intellidyne has become a recognized
leader and innovator in the development and marketing of energy saving
controls. Intellidyne energy economizers are currently sold in 13
countries globally. The effectiveness of Intellidyne controls has
been documented (April 2007) in a two year study funded through NYSERDA & audited
by Brookhaven National Laboratory and have been certified by the
Chinese Electronics Standardization Institute (June 2007).
Prior to joining Intellidyne, Mr. Ruff was president of KeySpan
Appliance Service Company, which later became KeySpan Energy Solutions.
During his term as president, from 1998 – 2001, the company
grew in revenue to exceed $100 million dollars. Mr. Ruff also spearheaded
several corporate acquisitions in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
At the close of 2001, KeySpan maintained 200,000 service contract
customers.
Before joining KeySpan in 1996, Mr. Ruff held a series of positions
over a 15 year period with Whirlpool Corporation based in Benton
Harbor, Michigan. Prior to leaving Whirlpool in 1996 Mr. Ruff held
the position of National Director of Field Operations with responsibility
for customer service and appliance repair for North America.
Mr. Ruff is a member of the following organizations: Association
of Energy Engineers, Association of Energy Service Professionals,
American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers
and United States Energy Association.
He is a graduate of California State University with a degree in
Political Science and a minor in Economics. |
